超旅程未來媒體藝術節

生存在惡劣環境下的生物，受適者生存定律的驅使所產生的進化與演繹，是黃世傑的創作所探討的焦點，藝術家的裝置作品創造出類似自然生態的環境狀態，生活其中的是由生活中常見的物件做成的有機活體，藝術家以隨手可得的現代生活產物作為原料，諸如家用製品、束線帶、水瓶、燈具、電腦零件、廉價電動玩具等等的人造素材，依照作品所需將之分解、拆卸之後，重新組合成具實驗特質的原始生物體。

Shih-chieh Huang’s work focuses on exploring the unusual evolutionary adaptations undertaken by creatures that reside in inhospitable conditions. The artist creates analogous ecosystems in his installations and populates them with organic living things made from common, everyday objects. Huang source his wholly synthetic materials from the mundane objects that comprise our modern existence: household appliances, zip ties, water tubes, lights, computer parts, cheap motorized toys and the like. The objects are dissected and disassembled as needed and reconstructed into experimental primitive organisms.
