Immersing in the residual light of the shadowy room, the actors who masqueraded by the audience applies gears, hair springs and escape wheels to make up their obscure faces in the dark. This make-up transforms into massive Chinese opera’s facial mask suspended in the midair. As the actors opens and closes their mouth silently, the lips of the mask are triggered and the recorded voice of long-passed ancient singers starting to play.
